Contao (from Vietnamese “the creator”) is a feature-rich CMS.
This CMS, an ascendant of the renamed TYPOlight, is pretty damn powerful.
What you’ll like:
- Numerous features loaded into the core package (built-in form creation, newsletters)
- Easily add maintenance tasks (great for bigger projects)
- Advanced editing features
- SEO optimized
- A powerful, yet easy-to-use backend
- Built-in user management
What you won’t like:
- Contao isn’t WordPress–which means that there’ll be less than 11,000 plugins to choose from
- Lack of templates (you’ll most likely have to do some CSS on your own)
- Not the best docs, at least for developers
