jq-tiles is a neat little slideshow that uses CSS3 for tile-based image transitions.
The slider functionality is admittedly basic; however, jq-tiles excels in providing an unique transition effect.
It supports all modern browsers and requires polyfills for IE8. Registered under the MIT license, the plugin is just screaming to be used in your next project.
