Spur is a fun little web application made by ZURB.
The application creates an environment that allows inspecting a page’s design to make design improvements.
Spur loads a screenshot of an URL you’ve entered and then applies filters that make it easy to spot design errs on a page.
Several useful filters are available, among them are grayscale, intersections, contrast, blur, etc. Each filter is supplemented with tips that will help you catch design faults in your own page.
The captured images can be shared with a link; if you’re a user of the Notable application, you can also send the image to Notable, add notes about the image, and share your comments with others.
Spur is an undeniably useful application, and it’s as effective as it’s simple. The only feature missing is built-in note adding, but that’s provided via Notable.
