As September comes to an end and October approaches, people are really anxious to find out when Apple is going to unveil its fifth generation iPhone which is still shrouded in a mystery. According to a source, its possible for Apple to conduct iPhone 5 release event on October 4 and the very same source indicates that this time Apple might not be holding the event in San Francisco as it always does, rather they will be announcing the iPhone 5 at One Infinite Loop, Apple’s headquarters located in Cupertino California.
Apple has conducted all of its big product announcements in San Francisco. The iPads, iPods as well as all iPhones were announced at media events held some big San Francisco venue. So obviously many would think that the iPhone 5 release event would be no different. However well connected sources reveal that this time Apple is going to conduct its fall media event on its home turf, their HQ located at One Infinite Loop, Cupertino California.
Up till now all we have heard about the iPhone 5 release event are rumours. Apple is yet to announce an official date for its fall media event that would confirm an iPhone 5 release date. We have just heard rumours, which first hinted at October 24 to be the day when Apple would announce iPhone 5. That rumour was quashed after a couple of weeks by Orange CEO who claimed that iPhone 5 will be released on October 15. Then the same source which claims Apple is holding event in Cupertino added that October 4 is the date when the iPhone 5 will be unveiled, though its always up to Apple if they ever want to change the fall media event date.
The question here is why Apple isn’t holding the event in San Francisco? Could this be due to the fact that the iPhone 5 release event is the first major product unveiling of new CEO Tim Cook who has to live up to the presentation expectations people have of him, given the fact that former CEO Steve Jobs was most probably the best presenter that Apple ever had. Since events at San Francisco have a large audience, a smaller event with a select group of attendees could be very suitable for Tim Cook. Another possible reason for the fall event being conducted in Cupertino could simply be the unavailability of a large venue, for example the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts which has hosted a couple of Apple product announcements in the past.
Regardless of the venue, we’re looking forward to the iPhone 5 launch which will hopefully be conducted on October 4 at Apple’s Town Hall Auditorium at One Infinite Loop in Cupertino, California. If this really is happening on the aforementioned date, media invites are going to be dispatched by Apple in a couple of dates.
