The annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas plays host to the announcement of various amazing gadgets which include but are not limited to smartphones and tablets. CES 2012 was no different. Amongst the various product announcements one that intrigued me the most of was Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX. While it is perceived that Apple with its iPhone is the undisputed champion of smartphone market, that is actually not true. The Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX actually has some impressive features. It comes with a 3,300 mAh battery that promises to provide 21 hours of non-stop talktime. The smartphone is 8.99 mm and happens to be 2 mm thicker than its predecessor the original Droid RAZR. It is powered by Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread and can be updated to the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. An 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p HD video capture and image stabilization technology for crisp and clear videos is alos present with a front-facing HD camera for video chat over 4G LTE, 3G or Wi-Fi. It comes with 16 GB on-board memory and 16 GB microSD™ card pre-installed.
Verizon Wireless is going to offer Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX through its network. Verizon confirmed earlier today that it is going to release Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX on January 26th. This smartphone will be priced at $299.99 and it comes coupled with a two-year contract.
