Tizi Go Dongle is a nifty little device that connects in the dock connector of iPad and transforms it in to a mobile TV. The Tizi Go Dongle has been designed specifically for iPad 2.
Tizi Go Dongle is currently only being sold for iPad 2. This dongle will transform your Apple tablet in to a mobile TV. An internet connection is required for this, WiFi works best as it will be hard streaming live TV on iPad using a 3G connection.
The Dongle boasts a latest high-sensitivity DVB-T chipset as well as an integrated flexible antenna which is just as flexible as cords on a pair of earphones. Tizo Go streams clear TV in MPEG-2 format. The Dongle is pretty power efficient and uses an intelligent power management software so that the device does not run out of charge prematurely. Tizi Go is powered by tizi.tv 2 app for iPad. The features include the ability to watch, pause, visual timeshift, initiate déjà vu recording, split-view with TV and EPG at a glance, full landscape and portait controls. The app itself has an amazing UI design and attention to detail, it’s pretty easy to use. You can also control Tizi Go Dongle on iPad 2 using or iPhone or iPod touch as a remote. Download Tizi app on the device you wish to use as a remote and easily flip through channels, pause live TV (Timeshift), and record your favorite shows. iPhone 4S owners have the ability to change channels using voice commands.
Including the antenna, the overall weight of Tizi Go Dongle is 20 gms. It is very light and easy to carry in one’s pocket. The battery gives an estimated 9 hours playback time provided that the iPad is on 30% battery and airplane mode.
Currently Tizi Go Dongle is only being sold in Germany. Worldwide shipping will soon begin in partnership with Belikin. The Dongle costs EUR 99.00, and is a bargain at this price for all the functionality it offers.
