DAWG Easily Zoom in Images ZoomyZoomy is great if you want to provide extra detail without putting huge images on your website.

Besides that its loader does wonders (at least to Chrome) from time to time, Zoomy is a nice plugin to spice up your image gallery, artworks, etc.

Easy Pagination Plugin – Easy Paginate

Easy Paginate is a jQuery pagination plugin released by cssglobe.com.

paginate Easy Pagination Plugin Easy PaginateThe plugin is basic and easy to use.

The options are as follows: define amounts of pages you want to show in one picture; turn on numeric numbering; and turn “nextprev” arrows on or off.

It has two serious drawbacks, though: no autoplay, and reinventing the wheel.

The former will doubtlessly be added in the future… making this yet another preferential plugin–if you like the design, toy around with it. :)

Reorder and shuffle items easily – Quicksand

If your application has a list of items which are divided into categories, maybe you’d want to add something eye-candy-ish when a category is changed?

jQuery.Quicksand is a plugin for reordering items (icons, posts, products, etc) in a very pleasant way.

shuffle Reorder and shuffle items easily QuicksandThe Quicksand plugin adds an enormous lot to the user experience with eye-candy animations.

The plugin has some options, too: auto-adjust item height for them not to break out of the container; specify the reorder animation’s duration; and choose easing options for different transitions.

Openpublic CMS for government websites OpenPublic

Although it is yet to released, we can already have a sneak peek through the promotional video and some screenshots from the OpenPublic Twitter.

Security is a concern for most government websites — remember the infamous cases where such security was broken –, so OpenPublic naturally takes security very seriously.

What you’ll (probably) like about OpenPublic:

  • Map Visualization feature – create awesome maps showing where your offices are in the world.
  • Security isn’t just a word for OpenPublic.
  • Intuitive dashboard.
  • The White House uses Drupal, so perhaps OpenPublic chose the best platform for such a CMS.

What you won’t like:

  • A stable release is yet to come.
  • Only for government websites and institutions.

If you think there’ll be need for you to make a website for an institution, bookmark the website and come back later.
