Although written in Erlang, a relatively unused programming language, Zotonic is a feature rich, powerful and fast Content Management System – try accessing this uber-fast site that runs on Zotonic.
Zotonic includes:
- Front-end made with jQuery and CSS (allows for at least for some customization if you don’t know Erlang)
- Easy, Django-like templating language
- MVC
- PostgreSQL database support
Although it would be hard to fully configure the CMS for the average user, Zotonic is nevertheless a CMS worth considering.
The myriad built-in features and – perhaps most importantly – speed, make up for the relative lack of available plugins.
