I’ve been using Live Writer for about 2 years now, first with Blogger and now with WordPress. I agree, it’s been hard to find a better app for post authoring. One peeve of mine is that when I switch into Source Code mode and sprinkle in a little inline CSS, it likes to expand out margin, border, and padding settings into the individual left, right, top, bottom equivalents. A little bloated, but that’s about the worst I can find.
Spending more time on my Mac now, I opted to use Parallels just so I can still have Live Writer. Haven’t tried that Qumana product you mentioned yet, so I’ll be trying that next.
Must have plugin is the Flickr Photos plugin (add from Flickr, not the upload one). The auto tweet one for Twitter was handy for awhile, too.
